Following the return of domestic action after the international break, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid all recorded convincing victories at the weekend, with the latter staying top of the pile in the table.
Diego Simeone's Atletico thumped Granada 7-1 at home on Saturday, while Barcelona beat Deportivo La Coruna 4-0 and Real Madrid won 6-1 at Real Betis on the same day.
All three sides will be in Champions League action in midweek, with Barcelona facing former boss Pep Guardiola and Manchester City in arguably the pick of the ties on Tuesday night.
