Manchester City Women advanced into the semi-finals of the FA WSL Continental Tyres Cup after defeating Doncaster Rovers Belles 4-1.

Izzy Christiansen, Georgia Stanway, Toni Duggan and Jane Rosswere were all on target, with Marta Bakowska-Mathews' strike proving to be merely a consolation for the visitors.

Christiansen had the ball in the net after great work from Daphne Corboz, only for the offside flag to deny the PFA Women's Player of the Year.

City continued to dominate, however, and the pressure soon told as Christiansen looped a header over Nicola Hobbs from Demi Stokes' cross on 38 minutes.

Substitute Stanway doubled the lead on 76 minutes, cutting in from the right wing before firing a dipping right-footed shot into the far corner.

Bakowska-Mathews pulled a goal back (80) minutes, tapping in the rebound after Leandra Little headed goalwards from a corner.

But City stuck to their task and Duggan restored the two-goal advantage two minutes later, slipping the ball past Hobbs after Tessel Middag had played the ball through to her.

Ross then wrapped things up two minutes from time, tapping in from close range after Little failed to clear Stanway's header across goal.

It was a much more cagey affair in Solihull, where a last-gasp goal from substitute Coral-Jade Haines sent Birmingham City Ladies into the semi-finals with a 1-0 win against Liverpool Ladies.

Haines calmly steered a left-foot shot low past goalkeeper Siobhan Chamberlain in the single added minute of injury-time after 120 minutes without a goal.

Liverpool were denied both by the woodwork and a Jess Carter goal-line clearance in a closely-fought contest.

Meanwhile, FA WSL 2 side London Bees defeated Sheffield FC Ladies 2-0 to secure a last-four clash against a top-flight club.

Ashleigh Goddard scored the opener on 63 minutes when she headed home Evdokia Popadinova's cross.

Evie Clarke then wrapped up the victory in the final minute as she ran from inside her own half before rounding Sheffield goalkeeper Juliana Draycott to score.
