Luton's Cameron McGeehan is set to be unavailable for Saturday's Sky Bet League 2 fixture at Cambridge United after being suspended by the Northern Ireland Football Association.
The 20-year-old midfielder rejected a call-up to Northern Ireland's U21 squad for matches against Scotland and Iceland because he is also eligible for England and is reconsidering his international future.
The Irish FA responded by imposing a FIFA statute which has suspended McGeehan for the present international football break, even though Luton are scheduled to continue playing.
Luton have appealed against the decision, and expect to learn of the outcome of their appeal on Saturday morning.
