Burton manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has signed versatile defender Darius Charles on a one-year contract.
Charles is primarily a central defender but can play at left-back and has been known to operate in midfield or as a striker. The 27-year-old has spent the past five seasons at Stevenage where he made more than 140 Football League appearances, mostly in League One. He becomes the third new arrival at the Pirelli Stadium this summer as manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink assembles a squad ready for the club's first ever League One campaign. Callum Reilly and Calum Butcher, signed from Birmingham and Dundee United respectively, have already been snapped up by the Dutchman.
