Teddy Sheringham has made his first signing as Stevenage boss by agreeing a deal to bring in former Morecambe captain Mark Hughes.
The 28-year-old played 42 times for the Shrimps last season but was among those who were told to seek pastures new when the League Two club's retained list was announced. Hughes will now remain in the division after being brought to the Lamex Stadium by Sheringham, who was officially appointed to his first managerial post six days ago.
