Blackburn defender Matt Kilgallon would be happy to extend his stay with the club, even if he has not given a new deal much thought as yet.
The former Sunderland man's contract at Ewood Park runs out in the summer, while he has made 18 appearances this season.
Kilgallon is preparing for a return to Championship action this weekend after helping Blackburn hold Liverpool to a goalless draw at Anfield in the FA Cup.
Having signed for Rovers in 2013, Kilgallon is hoping his efforts will be rewarded off the pitch once things feel a bit calmer on it.
When asked if he wanted to stay at Blackburn, Kilgallon told the Lancashire Telegraph: "I haven't had time but I'm sure I'll speak to the gaffer or whoever but why wouldn't I want to (stay) because I'm enjoying it.
"I'm sure something will be said and if you're playing well hopefully you will get rewarded.
"I'm just head down and playing as many games as I can at the moment. I haven't even thought about it (the summer) because of the cup run and because of the amount of games we've had."
