St Mirren have signed winger James Dayton from Oldham on loan until the end of the season.
Dayton previously played in the Scottish Premiership with Kilmarnock and he will take the No 17 shirt.
The 26-year-old has also had loan spells with Yeovil and Crawley, after originally bursting on to the scene as a youth player for Crystal Palace.
St Mirren manager Gary Teale said: “I’m delighted to bring James up to the club, he offers us another attacking option in the final third and will go straight into the squad for Friday night’s match at Partick Thistle subject to international clearance."
Dayton is relishing the prospect of a return to consistent first-team football and admits the manager was one of the reasons he signed for the club.
“I am very happy to come back up to Scotland and start playing games regularly again," he added.
"Gary and I spoke quite a bit and he told me how much he wanted me to come here and I am just delighted to get it done knowing the league as I do and hopefully make an impact.”
