Port Vale have signed teenage forward Harry Panayiotou on loan from Premier League Leicester.
Panayiotou, who can play up front or on the wing, has put pen to paper on a month-long deal with the Valiants. The 19-year-old has already made an impression on his new team-mates, after scoring twice when Leicester's reserve-team won 5-0 at Vale in January. "Young Harry is going to come into the squad," confirmed Vale caretaker boss Rob Page. "We only bring players in who we think are going to add that little bit of quality and something different. "He's a young lad, I spoke to [Leicester coach] Kevin Phillips about him and whenever he trains with the first team he has got an eye for goal. "He's got a great work ethic, he's not a minute's problem so we just think it's an opportunity to bring him in and get him amongst the squad." Panayiotou was born in Leicester but at international level he represents Saint Kitts and Nevis, where his mother was born. He has made one substitute appearance for the Foxes' first team, scoring a last-minute winner against Leeds in April 2012.
