Huddersfield Town striker Jon Stead has rejoined League One outfit Bradford City on loan.
Stead, who finished last season with the Bantams, will remain with the League One club until January 3, 2015. Bradford boss Phil Parkinson has been trying to bring in another forward since Mason Bennett was recalled by Derby at the start of the week. Stead comes in match fit, having made nine appearances for Huddersfield so far this campaign. The 31-year-old has started two Championship games for the Terriers and recently scored against Middlesbrough. "It has all come a bit of out the blue really but it was an easy decision to come back," Stead told the Bantams' official website. "I obviously know the management staff and a lot of the players already from my time at Bradford last season and it was a straightforward choice to make the move back here. "I am looking forward to playing games here and helping the team again. I really enjoyed it here last season and I'm ready to play my part again." Stead played eight times for Parkinson's men last season and netted in the final-day win at Tranmere.
