Bradford forward Andy Gray has left the club after having his contract cancelled by mutual consent.
The 36-year-old striker's current deal was due to expire this summer but he has now departed with immediate effect. Gray was in his second spell at the club after returning in January 2013 and made 16 appearances for Phil Parkinson's side. His involvement in recent weeks had been limited due to a bout of shingles, while he scored his only goal this season in a 2-1 defeat at Peterborough in December. Former Scotland international Gray, son of ex-Leeds defender Frank, began his career at Elland Road and signed for Bradford for the first time on a free transfer from Nottingham Forest in 2002. He scored 20 goals in 77 appearances during that spell at Valley Parade. Sunderland paid £1.1million to sign Gray from Sheffield United in 2005 and he commanded a £750,000 fee when moving on to Burnley in 2006. In total he has played for eight different clubs, including Charlton and Barnsley, and also had loans spells at Bury, Preston and Oldham.
