Bristol Rovers have confirmed that Adam Virgo and Scott Bevan have both left the club.
The pair, who have struggled with injury during their two-year stays with the Pirates, are now out of contract and looking for new clubs. "Adam and Scott will be paid up until the end of July as per the terms of their contracts, but are now free to pursue alternative options," chairman Nick Higgs told the Bristol Evening Post. "We'd like to thank both players for their contribution during their time at Bristol Rovers and wish them all the best for the future." Former Celtic defender Virgo only managed 23 appearances in two seasons after arriving from Yeovil while goalkeeper Bevan missed the whole of last season with a wrist problem.
