Pentney heads for Us exit

Goalkeeper Carl Pentney has had his contract at Colchester cancelled by mutual consent.
Pentney signed for the U's in the summer of 2010 but has failed to make a single first-team appearance, instead spending time on loan at Bath City, Hayes & Yeading and Chelmsford. Manager Joe Dunne told the official website: "Carl has been very patient in his time with us but it is time he was playing first-team football. "As with a few others, I cannot offer him that here so we feel that releasing him from his contract is the fairest thing to do and we wish him well for the future."
