Defender pens three-year contract with Reds
Nottingham Forest's summer rebuilding programme shows no sign of slowing down, with a deal put in place for Southampton defender Dan Harding.
The 28-year-old full-back becomes the fourth signing of the Al Hasawi era at the City Ground - following the arrivals of Adlene Guedioura, Danny Collins and Greg Halford - and has penned a three-year contract.
Forest's new owners vowed to provide financial backing upon acquiring the club, and they have been true to their word.
Sean O'Driscoll has been given the freedom to identify top targets and he has wasted no time in acquiring fresh faces.
Defensive reinforcements were always going to be a priority, and Harding will help to strengthen the Reds in a key area of the field.
He is also a player of considerable Football League, and Championship, experience having turned out for Brighton, Leeds, Southend Ipswich, Reading and Southampton.
Excited
Chairman Omar Al Hasawi told Forest's
official website: "We are delighted with the way things are taking shape.
"Like Adlene, Danny and Greg, Dan is an experienced performer and knows what it takes to gain promotion from the Championship."
Harding added: "It's brilliant. I'm really pleased. I spoke to the gaffer and liked what he had to say. I'm really excited.
"There aren't many clubs I would have left them (Southampton) for but Forest was definitely one of them.
"It's a great stadium, fantastic facilities here at the academy and it's a club going places."
