Sweden international Emir Bajrami has joined Monaco on loan from FC Twente with the Ligue 2 club having an option to buy.
The midfielder, who started his career with Elfsborg before moving to Twente, leaves the Eredivise side after two seasons in Holland.
Bajrami, who made one appearance for Sweden to earn his 15th cap during Euro 2012 last month, has elected to take on a new challenge.
The 24-year-old will link up with the likes of Ludovic Giuly, Jakob Poulsen and Nacer Barazite at Monaco.
The fallen giants are seeking to end their two-year stay in the second tier of French football under the guidance of Claudio Ranieri this season.
