Bristol City boss Derek McInnes has returned to his former club St Johnstone to land midfielder Jody Morris.
The 33-year-old former Chelsea man has agreed a one-year deal at Ashton Gate ending a four-and-half-year spell in Perthshire.
Morris admits he is delighted to be back in English football with The Robins.
"I'm over the moon to have agreed this deal. After four-and-a-half years working with the gaffer at St Johnstone, I jumped at this chance," he told City's official website.
"It's the right switch for my career, as well as an opportunity to bring the family back down south.
"I've played at Championship level before and higher, so I'm fully confident in my ability and this is a great move."
Meanwhile, the club also confirmed that young defender Joe Edwards has agreed a new one-year deal.
"On the back of committing himself to the club, I'm sure he will have that hunger to earn a place in our first-team. He's got it all to prove but we certainly feel he's someone we'd like to work with," said McInnes.
