Midfielder keen to continue career beyond the summer
Lazio midfielder Cristian Brocchi is keen to meet with the club for talks over a new one-year contract, according to his agent.
Brocchi is coming towards the end of his career at the age of 36 and his current deal expires at the end of the season.
He is also sidelined at the moment with a foot problem and could be forgiven for fearing that he will not be offered fresh terms.
However, the former Italy international is hoping to carry on playing beyond the summer and would like to sit down for discussions as soon as possible.
"There haven't been any significant forward steps yet," agent Davide Lippi told La Lazio Siamo Noi.
"There is, however, a desire to open talks very soon and I think we'll meet up with the club - it will be up to them to tell us what to do.
