Bosnian forward rules out Premier League move

Vedad Ibisevic has ruled out a January switch away from Hoffenheim, with his intention to see out the season in Germany. The Bosnia international came close to joining Blackburn over the summer, with Rovers having a deal in place. Ewood Park boss Steve Kean was eventually forced to abandon his plans to bring the striker on board as a niggling thigh problem prevented Ibisevic from undergoing a medical. It has been suggested that Rovers will renew their interest in the New Year, while Premier League rivals Everton are also said to be keen. Ibisevic, though, claims he has no plans to move to England and has sought to bring an end to the rumours before the winter window opens for business. "I am a player of Hoffenheim and I have a contract with the club," he told Sportinfomationsdienst. "I will be turning out for Hoffenheim after the winter break as I'm not going to move clubs."

Contract

Meanwhile, Hoffenheim manager Holger Stanislawski has attempted to play down reports suggesting Tobias Weis will be granted a free transfer in January. "I am not about to send Tobi away," he told spox.com. "Tobi has the opportunity to remain past the end of the season. I have just told him that he needs to perform in training after his injuries." Weis, whose current contract will expire next summer, added: "I have a deal with this club, I am under contract. "I am looking to play matches for the club and I will be around for the second half of the campaign. That is 90 per cent certain."
