Gonzalez linked with English move
American international Omar Gonzalez is being tipped to follow Los Angeles Galaxy team-mate Landon Donovan to England.
Gonzalez played a major part in helping the Galaxy claim their maiden MLS Cup this year.
But he may not help them defend the trophy in 2012 as a host of clubs are ready to pounce.
The Texan-born stopper, who has Mexican parentage, has been linked with a move to Mexico, as well as France, Germany and Italy.
However, skysports.com understands that there is major interest from the Premier League in the 23-year-old.
Galaxy ace David Beckham, who himself seems set to seal a move to Paris St Germain, is understood to have given Gonzalez a glowing reference to a number of people in England.
But whilst Donovan's move to Everton is a loan, it is understood any deal for the highly-rated stopper would be permanent and Galaxy are now bracing themselves for bids.
Gonalez was named MLS defender of the Year earlier this month.
