Bordeaux have boosted their striking options by signing Niger international Moussa Maazou on a season-long loan from CSKA Moscow.
Maazou, who turned 22 on Wednesday, enjoyed a spell in French football last season, scoring eight goals in 22 appearances for Monaco.
He has now returned to Ligue 1 with Bordeaux and also has the option of a permanent move to the 2009 champions.
The forward is determined to impress at his new club after struggling to make an impact since joining Russian outfit CSKA in 2009.
"I am looking forward to playing in this good Bordeaux team," said Maazou.
"Hopefully I will get my chance."
