Central defender linked with move
German ace Arne Friedrich has denied that he has agreed a move to Wolfsburg.
The central defender suffered relegation with Hertha Berlin last season and is widely expected to seal a move away from the club.
Friedrich is currently on World Cup duty with his country, but it was reported that Wolfsburg had agreed terms and that he would be signing a two-year deal.
But the 31-year-old says nothing has been agreed as of yet, he told
Deutsche Presseagentur: "I am not able to confirm anything, no decision has been taken.
"I have an agreement with my agent and he is going to phone me if there is anything concrete.
"Thus far he has not make a phone call to me. Therefore I am not able to confirm anything."
Simunek sale
Meanwhile, Wolfsburg are busy clearing their squad of unwanted players and one of the first to leave is Czech stopper Jan Simunek.
The defender has agreed a two-year deal with newly promoted side Kaiserslautern.
Simunek told
Wolfsburger Nachrichten: "I am moving on, I am not part of the plans of the new manager (Steve McClaren).
"There is an agreement between myself and Kaiserslautern."
