Defender out for rest of season with serious knee injury
Livorno have suffered a blow with the news that Leonardo Miglionico is out for the rest of the season with a serious knee injury.
The Uruguayan defender, who has featured 13 times for the Amaranto in the top flight this term, sustained the injury in the 4-1 defeat at Lazio on Wednesday.
The 29-year-old had to be substituted after 19 minutes and subsequent scans have confirmed he will require surgery and is set to be out for at least five months.
The news comes as a blow to Livorno's attempt to try and stay in the top flight after earning promotion last term.
