Udinese defender realistic over top-four chances
Maurizio Domizzi believes Udinese should be setting their sights on Europa League qualification this season.
Udinese are currently seventh in the Serie A table, one of four teams to have collected 11 points from their opening seven games.
Domizzi admits it will be very difficult to break into the top four but he thinks there are places up for grabs just beneath the UEFA Champions League spots.
However, the defender also accepts that it will be a closely-fought battle against the likes of Palermo, Lazio, Genoa and Sampdoria.
"For fourth place, there are squads that have more experience than us," Domizzi told Novantesimo.it.
"But for the Europa League, we can certainly compete for a spot.
"The competition is not a matter of quality, but of quantity, as there are many sides. A team can finish anywhere between sixth and 10th with only a game difference."
