Striker staying with County
Striker Ben Fairclough has accepted Notts County's offer of a new one-year contract.
Fairclough's deal had been set to expire in the summer but manager Ian McParland stated last week that he was confident the youngster would stay.
The 20-year-old made 11 appearances for the Magpies this season and is looking forward to playing a more prominent role next term.
"I'm really pleased I'm sorted for next season now, it is a weight off my mind to be tied down and I'm just looking forward to focusing on my football and having a good 2009/10," he told the club's official website.
"I've really enjoyed the last year here and I'm champing at the bit now to force myself into the team a little more and hopefully get some goals.
"It's a big challenge I know with the strikers we have already and potential additions but I'm up for it and I'll give it my best shot."
