Midfielder out for several weeks after knee surgery

Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder David Livermore is out until the New Year after undergoing knee surgery. Livermore, who joined Brighton from Hull City in the summer, has missed the last two games due to an ongoing complaint. The League One strugglers have now sent the 28-year-old for an operation, which Seagulls boss Micky Adams expects to fix the problem. "He's had a history throughout his career of chronic knee problems, but he hasn't missed a day's training since he has been here," Adams told The Argus. "His knee has been a bit puffy for a while and it got to the stage where he had to have something done." Former Millwall stalwart Livermore has made 16 appearances in all competitions since arriving at the Withdean Stadium on a free transfer.
