Scottish ace waits on future

Colin Cameron has admitted he has been left in limbo by Paul Ince's departure from MK Dons to Blackburn. The Scottish midfielder's current contract is due to expire later this month and no new deal has been agreed as yet. Cameron had been in talks over a new deal with the League One new boys and had agreed a new contract with Ince to stay at Milton Keynes. However, Ince's departure to Blackburn has thrown Cameron's future up in the air with the former Hearts and Wolves star now becoming a free agent. The news has alerted Port Vale, who are believed to be willing to offer the 35-year-old a player-coaching role to lure him to Vale Park. Cameron says he is keen to secure a new deal at MK Dons after helping them win promotion last season, although he will weigh up all the options available to him. "I had virtually agreed a new deal with Paul Ince to stay at MK Dons, but with Paul departing to Blackburn I have been informed the deal has not been ratified by the board," Cameron told skysports.com. "Therefore at the moment there is no offer on the table. "It is a nightmare situation as it means I am not contracted to MK Dons and will not be starting pre-season. "I would love to stay at MK Dons as I have enjoyed my time at the club and the fans have been great to me, but it all depends on the new manager. "I will be keeping my options open and see what happens." Cameron admits he would be interested in moving into a coaching role and he would not rule out a player-coaching role at MK Dons. "I have taken my coaching badges and it is something I want to do in my career at some stage," added Cameron.
