Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Thiago Motta was sent off for stamping on an opponent during his side's win over Angers on Wednesday.
Motta was shown a straight red card for stamping on Romain Thomas' chest just 15 minutes into the Ligue 1 match at the Parc des Princes.
Thomas was left with a large mark on the right side of his chest following the tackle, but was able to continue playing after receiving medical treatment.
Paris Saint-Germain were unaffected by Motta's dismissal and went on to record a 2-1 win over Angers, courtesy of two goals from France international Kylian Mbappe.
Unai Emery's side now lead Ligue 1 by 17 points ahead of their nearest rivals Monaco, having lost just two games in the league all season.
