Javier Mascherano will leave Barcelona this week after seven-and-a-half seasons at the club.
A message on the club's website confirmed the news, saying the 33-year-old will be given "an institutional farewell on Wednesday at 11 am".
Mascherano, who is being heavily linked with a move to the Chinese Super League, arrived from Liverpool in August 2010 and won 18 titles during his time at the Nou Camp, including two Champions League successes.
He made 334 appearances for the club under five different coaches: Pep Guardiola, Tito Vilanova, Tata Martino, Luis Enrique and Ernesto Valverde.
Born in San Lorenzo in June 1984, he also spent three full seasons at Liverpool, having started his career at River Plate.
