Stoke defender Marc Muniesa will travel to Spain on Wednesday to discuss the final details of a loan move to Girona, according to Sky sources.
He said his goodbyes to team-mates at the Stoke training ground on Tuesday and should complete his move before the weekend.
This is after Sky sources revealed that Bruno Martins Indi will complete his £7m move from Porto to Stoke on Wednesday.
Muniesa has been at Stoke for four years, since signing on a free transfer from Barcelona in July 2013.
The 25-year-old made 11 appearances for Stoke last season, scoring one goal.
