Former Tottenham and LA Galaxy striker Robbie Keane has moved to India to play for Teddy Sheringham's Atletico de Kolkata.
Sky Sports News reported earlier this week that the 37-year-old, who retired from international duty with the Republic of Ireland last year, was close to agreeing a deal with the Indian Super League club.
Keane was interested in a return to English football with Sky Bet Championship side Birmingham City and manager Harry Redknapp had revealed his admiration for the player, but after talks stalled the forward opted to swap continents to join his former Spurs team-mate.
Keane, who is the record goalscorer for his country, had been a free agent after leaving LA Galaxy following a successful five-year stint in the MLS.
Keane also previously played for the likes of Wolves, West Ham and Leeds during his career in England.
