Matt Phillips is savouring the fine run of form West Brom have enjoyed at the Hawthorns this season - and is determined to keep it going against Liverpool this weekend.
The Baggies midfielder missed five games with a hamstring injury but he is back in the first-team picture now and is hoping to make the starting XI for the match on Sunday, which is live on Sky Sports.
He told Sky Sports News HQ: "I managed to get 45 minutes under my belt against Watford last Tuesday and 60 minutes on Saturday against Southampton so I'm hopeful for a start this weekend."
Phillips singled out Tony Pulis and the fans for praise as he continues to make his mark in his first season at the club.
He said: "The manager has been a massive influence on me. He's taken a lot of time out with me working on my key attributes, my pace and my power. But we have been focusing too on other stuff, my speed and my fitness so it gives me an extra physical edge.
"The crowd have been fabulous with us at home this season. We have won nine games here I think and we have scored plenty of goals. Also in terms of excitement we have been right up there and the fans have been right behind us.
"It's massive when the big teams come to the Hawthorns. Everyone wants to play in the Premier League against the best sides and Liverpool are one of those. We will be looking to give a good account of ourselves this weekend, that's for sure."
