Young midfielder Harry Cornick has signed a new deal with Bournemouth that will keep him at the club until 2018.

Cornick, 21, has been with the Cherries since the start of the 2013-14 season but has only made one senior appearance, in last season's FA Cup clash with Rotherham.

He has spent this season on loan with League Two side Yeovil Town, scoring six goals in 39 appearances.

"It's been two-and-a-half years since the last one, and all I've been doing is working hard to get to this point ever since I signed that deal," Cornick told the Bournemouth website.

"The aim now is finish strongly with Yeovil and get back to Bournemouth in the summer, keep myself fit, train and then take it step by step.

"Nobody has seen me train for a year, so hopefully I will be able to show them just how much I have improved as a person and as a player in the past year.

"But it's nice to know that, although I am playing my football away from Bournemouth, I am still being recognised and noticed."
