A late goal from Manchester United's Javier Hernandez gave Mexico a 2-1 win over Bosnia.
The friendly was played in Chicago and over 50,000 fans packed in to see the North American side seal the win.
Hernandez was the hero for Mexico as he pounced to scramble home the winner in stoppage time.
Tottenham forward Giovani dos Santos had opened the scoring after just seven minutes, before Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko levelled on the half-hour.
Mexico next face Brazil on Sunday at Arlington, Texas, before opening their 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign against Guyana in Mexico City on June 8 before. They visit El Salvador for another qualifier four days later.
