Exeter and Swindon shared the spoils in an entertaining 1-1 Sky Bet League Two draw at St James Park.
Substitute Matt Jay gave the Grecians the lead, turning in Lee Martin's cross, but debutant Eoin Doyle grabbed a deserved equaliser two minutes from time for the Robins.
Swindon named new signing Doyle in their starting line-up and it was the Bradford loanee that came closest to breaking the deadlock. He struck the base of the post following a swift Robins counter attack, one of many that caused Exeter problems in the first half.
Exeter struggled to create anything of note in the first half and Jake Taylor's speculative long-ranger, which was held by Luke McCormick was the closest they came to a breakthrough.
Taylor went off injured early in the second half and it was his replacement, Jay, that broke the deadlock on 72 minutes when he turned in Lee Martin's fierce drive.
Jay almost added a second, but his shot was blocked on the line by team-mate Dean Moxey and it proved costly as, with two minutes remaining, debutant Doyle turned in a Zeki Fryers cross to earn Swindon a deserved point.
