Celtic continued their unbeaten start to the domestic campaign with a 1-0 victory over Dundee at Dens Park in the Scottish Premiership.
Scott Brown netted the decisive goal in the early stages of the second half in a match which the league leaders dominated throughout.
Celtic started brightly with Tom Rogic sending a low free-kick just wide of Scott Bain's right post shortly before the Dundee goalkeeper dived to his left to turn a curling Scott Sinclair effort behind for a corner.
The Hoops then had penalty appeals waved away by referee Andrew Dallas when Erik Sviatchenko went down under a challenge from Dundee defender Cammy Kerr.
Rogic again tried to make the breakthrough with a free-kick from 22 yards which cleared the wall and was comfortably saved by Bain.
Despite controlling possession Celtic struggled to create any clear-cut chances against Dundee's resolute defence and skipper Brown swept a low drive from 25 yards a foot wide of the target.
The home side finally created a half-chance when Fayssal El Bakhtaoui skipped into the Celtic box on the left flank and crossed for Yordi Teijsse at the near post, but the striker was stretching to connect and could only head the ball wide.
Celtic's best opportunity of the half came in stoppage-time as Kieran Tierney raced to the goal-line and cut the ball back for Sinclair, whose snap-snot was parried by Bain at his near post before Moussa Dembele hooked the rebound over.
But the visitors opened the scoring two minutes after the break when Brown slipped a pass to Dembele, who skipped inside Darren O'Dea before he was blocked on the six-yard line, and when Sinclair laid the ball back to the Celtic skipper he guided his shot into the net from close-range.
Bain scrambled to his right to save a low Rogic shot from just outside the penalty area as Celtic tried to grab a quick second goal.
They came close again when James Forrest created space on the right and chipped a pass to the edge of the box where Sinclair's hooked effort found Dembele who shot on the turn into the turf and over the bar.
Bain again made a diving save to clutch a Sinclair shot, but Celtic were unable to add to their lead while Dundee toiled to create any chances in the remainder of the match.
