Richard Rose's injury-time winner ended a club-record run of five straight defeats for Dagenham with a 2-1 win over Crewe.
Winger Gavin Tomlin was at the heart of all the Daggers good early play, forcing two excellent saves from Crewe stopper Steve Phillips in the opening 10 minutes. But the visitors soon settled and Nick Powell had the Railwaymen's best chance of the half, but his half-volley was brilliantly pushed away by Daggers goalkeeper Chris Lewington. After the break, it was once more Crewe who were on top, with Lewington denying Powell from close range. The Railwaymen finally made the breakthrough on 75 minutes when Shaun Miller's shot was parried by Lewington into the path of Byron Moore who finished at the far post. But, less than a minute later, the home side were level when Tomlin broke down the left and his low cross was turned in by Williams. And, in second-half stoppage time, Rose jumped unmarked and headed in his first goal for the club from Damien McCrory's corner to seal maximum points.
