Chesterfield remain in the play-off places after 2-1 win
Chesterfield kept their play-off charge alive after they recorded a 2-1 triumph over lowly Lincoln City at Saltergate.
Opening goals from Dominic Green and Barry Conlon put the home side ahead before Moses Swaibu scored a consolation for Lincoln.
Green grabbed his first goal for Chesterfield as they withstood a second-half fightback by Lincoln.
Chesterfield took the lead when Green cut in from the right and hit a 25-yard shot that swerved late to beat Rob Burch inside his right-hand post.
Lincoln created nothing until the 37th minute when Cian Hughton set up Brian Gilmour, but his shot from 20 yards lacked the power to trouble Tommy Lee.
Green almost set up a second for Chesterfield in the 43rd minute with a cross that Martin Gritton headed wide.
But the Spireites did double their lead five minutes after the interval when Lincoln's defence failed to deal with a corner and Barry Conlon headed in.
Moses Swaibu gave Lincoln hope in the 66th minute with a 20-yard lob after Lee had dropped a free-kick. Lee made amends late on as he clawed away Shane Clarke's header to secure a valuable three points.
