Chesterfield remain without a win in five games
Chesterfield were left frustrated as they stretched their winless run to five games with a 1-1 draw against Chester.
The visitors took the lead after 17 minutes through their skipper Paul Linwood as he headed home a free-kick from Ryan Lowe.
The hosts dominated the second half and were rewarded with an equaliser after 59 minutes when Jamie Ward drove home from long range for his fifth goal of the campaign.
The Spireites piled on the pressure in the latter stages but Linwood was in outstanding form at the heart of the visitors' defence and they were unable to find a winner as Chester held on to take a point.
