Bury eased back into the play-off zone after comfortably seeing off a disappointing Crewe side 3-0.
Three superbly-taken goals saw the hosts hit back impressively after their weekend hammering at Cheltenham.
Bury striker Andy Morrell went close after eight minutes when he planted a header inches wide.
Just before the half-hour mark Crewe's Clayton Donaldson was twice denied in rapid succession.
His initial close-range shot was superbly stopped by Bury keeper Cameron Belford, and as the ball rebounded back out Donaldson struck a shot against the crossbar.
Bury went in front in the 30th minute when Morrell fired home sweetly from 20 yards after playing a classy one-two with Ryan Lowe.
Three minutes after the interval Morrell back-heeled into Lowe's path, and he smashed home from just outside the Crewe box.
Steve Schumacher steered a low shot wide as the visitors responded, but with three minutes left Bury sub Andy Bishop crashed home from six yards to complete a convincing victory.
