Goalless draw played out at Dean Court by promotion contenders
High-flying Bournemouth and Dagenham both missed the chance to boost their promotion hopes as they played out a drab 0-0 draw at Dean Court.
On a blustery night which made passing difficult, both sides struggled to adapt to the conditions in a first half lacking in quality and clear-cut chances.
Dagenham's Paul Benson came closest to opening the scoring inside the first 10 minutes but shot tamely at Shwan Jalal in the Cherries goal.
The home side were also restricted to speculative long range efforts, with Liam Feeney testing Dagenham keeper Tony Roberts on the half hour with Bournemouth's best effort.
As the swirling winds continued to affect the quality of the game, chances in the second period remained at a premium.
Even the introduction of Cherries' veteran striker Steve Fletcher for his 700th league appearance failed to spark the game into life. And despite a late flurry of half chances for both sides, the game limped to its goalless conclusion, preserving Bournemouth's position at the top of League Two.
