Highlights of the Sky Bet League Two match between Crawley and Scunthorpe.

Crawley gave head coach John Yems another boost following the award of a new three-year deal with a 3-1 victory over Scunthorpe.

The win extends the Reds` unbeaten home run to six games, while Scunthorpe have not won since New Year's Day.

Scunthorpe had under-23 boss Russ Wilcox in caretaker charge following the shock sacking on Wednesday of Paul Hurst, and the Iron made the worst possible start with Crawley taking the lead after only six minutes.

Central defender Jordan Tunnicliffe rose highest to head his first goal for Crawley at the far post following a free kick by George Francomb.

Crawley keeper Glenn Morris made vital saves from Alex Gilliead and Kevin Van Veen before the Reds doubled their lead after 23 minutes when Reece Grego-Cox curled in a beauty from the edge of the area after a Francomb free kick was not cleared.

It got worse for Scunthorpe a minute before the interval when leading scorer Ollie Palmer was given time and space following a cross by Ashley Nadesan and he turned and fired his seventh goal in five games.

Palmer was unlucky shortly after the break when, 10 yards from goal, he headed against the bar from another free kick by Francomb.

Striker Van Veen pulled a goal back for Scunthorpe from the penalty spot with 61 minutes gone after Tunnicliffe had tripped Levi Sutton.

The Iron had improved after the interval but substitute George Miller failed to convert at the far post following a cross by Abo Eisa.

Scunthorpe went close when Van Veen shot over after a strong run, and Bez Lubala was narrowly off target at the other end.
