Bendtner goal not enough for Danes
World Cup-bound Denmark slipped to a 2-1 defeat to Austria in their friendly in Vienna.
Austria made the breakthrough on 11 minutes when Franz Schiemer chipped the ball over Denmark keeper Thomas Sorensen
Denmark drew level five minutes later when Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner headed past Austria keeper Christian Gratzei.
Austria grabbed the winner just before the break when Roman Wallner netted from close range.
The result was not the best preparation for Denmark ahead of their games with Holland, Cameroon and Japan at the finals in South Africa.
