Italian driver reveals new contract for 2012 season
Jarno Trulli has "cleared the air" surrounding his future by announcing he is staying with Team Lotus for the 2012 season.
After speculation about him being released at the end of the season, the Italian said on Friday that he "already has a contract for next year".
Trulli said: "This clears the air for so many people who have been talking rubbish.
"I couldn't talk before, but things have to happen at the right time."
The 37-year-old sees the future is bright for Lotus after improvements in their set-up.
He added: "This year we have made a big step forward compared to last year, and next year when we take on board KERS (the power-boost system) and everything, we should be more competitive.
"So the future is looking bright."
Team owner Tony Fernandes had previously stated he was in the process of negotiating an extension to Trulli's deal.
