Sky Sports F1's Georgie Thompson is gearing up for a new channel, a new challenge and a very busy year...
This year is going to be busy. I'm off on a F1 globetrotting adventure. First stop Australia and after that pretty much everywhere else wonderful in the world until things draw to a dramatic close at the end of November in Brazil. Like I said, it's going to be a busy year. Last year ended on a high as the curtain came down on my Sky Sports News days. The cast and crew gave me a send off I'll never forget. Even if I wanted to I couldn't shake the memory of that humiliating Cheeky Girls number I was conned into performing being broadcast live to the nation or my first screen test being aired! I still get my 15 minute fix of SSN most mornings and I miss it and the people who make it such a tour de force desperately, but it's time for a new challenge. So it's time to step out from behind the desk and take on a new role presenting for Sky Sports F1 HD. Every week, race weekend or not, throughout the season I'll be fronting The F1 Show with technical whizz Ted Kravitz. On race weekends during qualifying and racedays, Anthony Davidson and I will broadcast from a specially-designed analysis area and provide insight into the action unfolding out on track. We've been having a ball testing all the toys we've got to play with but it's time to get the F1 show on the road... GT To find out more about the channel, click here
