Graeme Lowdon and Ben Hunt assess Rosberg's Barcelona win, Hamilton's set-up difficulties, the Bottas to Ferrari rumours, and plenty more from the first round of the European season

After four 2015 defeats to Lewis Hamilton on the spin, Nico Rosberg desperately needed to deliver at the Spanish GP and, with his first pole and race victory of the season, the German driver certainly did just that.
So will that prove a turning point in Rosberg’s campaign – and the title battle? Joining Natalie Pinkham in the F1 Midweek Report studio to discuss that point and many more from Barcelona are The Sun’s F1 correspondent Ben Hunt and, making his debut on the show, Manor Marussia president Graeme Lowdon.
In addition to dissecting Hamilton’s more difficult race weekend, Ben and Graeme also assess why Ferrari’s challenge to Mercedes completely failed to materialise despite their SF15-T featuring a host of upgrades.
The European season may only just be beginning, meanwhile, but that hasn’t stopped the 2016 driver market springing into life already with Williams’ Valtteri Bottas, one of the stars of last Sunday’s race, at the centre of the early speculation.
We also get Graeme to assess his Manor team’s season so far and look ahead to the crunch meeting of F1’s Strategy Group at which a host of potential rule changes for 2017 are on the table.
