Kimi Raikkonen crashed out of F1 Testing at Barcelona as Ferrari's progress on Day Two of the final test before the new season suffered a sizeable blow.
The Finn hit the barriers at the high-speed Turn Three midway through the afternoon session, with amateur footage showing Raikkonen losing the rear of the SF70-H rounding the corner before careering backwards in the gravel towards the tyre barriers.
Raikkonen was unhurt in the crash, which caused significant damage to the front and left-hand side of his car.
Ferrari were forced to stop running for the rest of the day having earlier been delayed by a fluid systems check.
The Italian team have otherwise enjoyed an impressive winter at the Circuit de Catalunya, regularly topping the timesheets and showing competitive pace relative to world champions Mercedes.
Ferrari's early form has even prompted Lewis Hamilton to claim that the Scuderia, which last won a world title in 2008, could even be ahead of his Mercedes team.
"Ferrari are possibly the favourites," said Hamilton. "We can't take our eyes off them they are doing such a great job."
