Sky Sports F1 pundit Johnny Herbert is tipping Daniel Ricciardo to continue his great form in this weekend's Canadian Grand Prix.
The Australian was dramtically denied victory in Monaco when his Red Bull team didn't have the tyres ready for his second pit spot allowing Lewis Hamilton to capture his first win of the season.
But Herbert, who had tipped the 26-year-old to claim victory on the streets of Monte Carlo at odds of 13/2, expects another strong performance from Ricciardo in Montreal and feels there is plenty of value backing the Red Bull driver for a podium finish at evens with Sky Bet this Sunday.
The F1 analyst said: "He's driving brilliantly and arguably should have won the last two races. I see no reason why he won't go well this weekend and if the engine upgrade is worth that half a second that Renault claim, he should be standing on the podium come Sunday."
Ricciardo's misfortune two weeks ago enabled world champion Hamilton to cut team-mate Nico Rosberg's lead at the top of the Drivers' Championship to 24 points.
Hamilton has a terrific record in Montreal with four victories and Herbert thinks the British driver has a great chance to make that five - an 11/10 shot with Sky Bet.
Herbert said: "Montreal is where Lewis picked up his first F1 win and it's where he's won three times since.
"He got a bit of luck in Monaco with Ricciardo's lengthy pit-stop, but he won't need luck here and his Mercedes might just be a little too strong, even for the improved Renault power in the Red Bulls."
Hamilton won last year's race at the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve edging out Rosberg by 2.285 seconds and Herbert expects another close race and is tipping the 5/4 available on the winning margin being under five seconds.
He added: "Eight of the last 13 Canadian Grand Prix's have been won by less than three second. I've no idea why, but I'm going with the stats on this one."
