After his season-opening victory at the Australian GP, Nico Rosberg compared his championship hopes to that of Leicester City.
And now that the 5000-1 outsiders have clinched the most unlikely of Premier League titles following Tottenham's draw at Chelsea, will 2016 be the German's year too?
Rosberg was speaking to Sky Sports News HQ ahead of the Bahrain GP, when he had an early lead in the Drivers' Championship while Leicester were five points clear at the top of the table.
Since then the Mercedes driver has dominated all three grands prix, extended his winning streak to seven races, and has now opened up a 43-point lead to Lewis Hamilton in the standings.
At the time, Rosberg insisted he was not the "top favourite" to win the title. But Leicester's success has certainly proved that anything is possible...
Watch the video above as Rosberg, a two-time title runner up, explains to Sky Sports News HQ why he can be F1's Leicester equivalent.
