James Wade fired eight 180s to reach the final of the Australian Darts Masters then went on to defeat home favourite Brody Klinge 8-5 to end the Aussie's fairytale run.
Wade beat Gerwyn Price to progress to the final, while Klinge shocked Ross Smith, Gian Van Veen and Jonny Clayton – who was hoping to make it back-to-back titles after claiming the New Zealand Darts Masters – before coming up short in the showpiece.
