Kessler and Froch head the Super Six betting
Sky Bet have installed Mikkel Kessler as the favourite to win the inaugural Super Six tournament later this year.
The current WBA super-middleweight champion is 9/4 with the Harrogate-based bookmaker to claim the title.
The big-punching Dane is one of the six world-class 12st fighters who will take each other on in a round-robin format. The fighters will accumulate points over their first three fights and the leading point scorers then go to the semi-final and then the Grand Final.
Sky Bet's boxing compiler Scott Springgay said: "This could be the biggest thing to have ever happened to boxing.
Quality field
"The quality of the field is so strong that any of the six fighters have a real chance of winning this."
Britain's Carl Froch, the 5/2 second favourite, opens his account with a fight against undefeated American Andre Dirrell on Saturday October 17th with Kessler in action the following month against Andre Ward.
Froch is a 1/2 shot to beat Dirrell (6/4) and with the set up of the tournament giving an extra bonus point if a fighter wins by KO or TKO the Nottingham man is 9/4 to stop the American within the 12 scheduled rounds, while Kessler is 4/11 to beat Ward (2/1) in their duel on November 21st.
The six fighters are equally split between Europeans and Americans and with the three Europeans at the top of the outright market Sky Bet are 1/7 that a European wins overall and 4/1 that an American seals his place in boxing history. To bet on the tournament
