A million dollars in $100 notes? Ricky Hatton strikes it rich in Las Vegas - without even throwing a punch!

Part Nine - The Hitman cashes in down Freemont Street

Ricky Hatton is back out in Las Vegas preparing for another crack at the pound-for-pound title. In the build-up to May 2 you can follow the Hitman's every move with his exclusive fight diary on sykysports.com. Scroll down for Ricky's latest entry as we take you right behind the scenes... Friday, April 10 The last day of week two. I had a lie-in today, then a relaxing stroll down The Strip, with breakfast at Caeser's Palace. Then it was back down the gym to spar with Marvin, Mookie and Cornelius. I was pleased with the pace and quality of sparring; the sessions are getting longer as the fight draws closer. A quick cuppa and then it was off to Sunset Park for a run. I have a new range of clothing coming out, called - surprisingly enough - Hatton. So today everyone was kitted out top-to-toe, even my sparring partners, for a photo-shoot. The new range is out in Autumn, so keep an eye out, folks. It's been a hard week but after sparring we had a bit of a laugh. Some of the lads were practising their dancing for some reason, my manager Speakie, my mates Kuggan and Ramin - and then Floyd got in on the act. HBO's 24/7 film crew caught it all, so you should get to see it back home. All I know is that if Manny sees that, he'll think we're a bunch of crazy clowns! However, it is good to have a laugh and lighten things up. After training we went back to the apartment for a massage and a rubdown. It's important to loosen the muscles after a hard week's work. The I popped into old Las Vegas and wandered down Freemont Street, which was very busy. We ducked out and along with all the team, nipped into Binnion's for some blackjack. I like a little flutter every now and again, but I only bet a small amount and today I lost around $100. I do like downtown Vegas, though. After every fight out here, I like to take my fiancee Jennifer down Freemont Street, because there is always something going on; be it a light show, music, or just the street entertainers - it's just my cup of tea. I also got to pose in front of a glass display case that holds $1million in $100 notes. Nice one!
